This June, I had the pleasure to visit GOTO Amsterdam with fellow LaxarJS team members, and to talk about web application architecture. The presentation looks into current architecture trends (namely Flux and Redux) and into the underlying concept of unidirectional dataflow. I discuss how unidirectional flow is implemented in Flux and Redux, and how it can also be modeled on top of publish/subscribe. This is where LaxarJS comes into play:
If you are interested in tech events in Europe, I can definitely recommend GOTO Amsterdam — for the city as much as for the conference itself. My favorite talk was actually not that closely related to software: an evening keynote by ESA astronaut André Kuipers with stunning near-earth orbit camera footage.
